Sternsteintrail from Linz via Zwettl up to Bad Leonfelden

LINZ/URFAHR AREA. The Sternstein Trail 2024 presented by Tips for those hungry for exercise on Saturday, September 21st from Linz via Zwettl/Rodl to the Sternstein in Bad Leonfelden at an altitude of 1,122 meters. Two distances are also offered (42.2 kilometers and 18.2 kilometers).

“I have been fascinated by this trail for several years. It is suitable for hikers and runners,” says organizer Christoph Hain. The trail leads from the Linzerie north through the Mühlviertel over the marathon distance of 42.2 kilometers to the Sternstein. Alternatively, a route of 18.2 kilometers can be completed from Zwettl, starting at the bee museum. The destination for all participants is the Waldschenke inn at the Sternstein. The route runs via the Gis, Lichtenberg, Kirchschlag, Zwettl, and the Sterngartl golf club to Bad Leonfelden. It offers many scenic highlights, such as the bee adventure trail, the moor forest with Kneipp pool or the lookout tower at the Sternstein.

New this year is the Buddy Ticket. This allows two buddies with different levels of ability to share the run and create a shared (finish) experience. Details on the entry fee and registration: www.sternsteintrail.at
