Motocross: Start of the W4 Cup autumn round in Grafenschlag

For the 50cc, 65cc, 85cc and Ladies classes, the next W4 Cup races will take place in Greinsfurth (Amstetten district) on September 21st, the final of the Waldviertel Motocross Cup with all classes will take place today on October 6th in Schrems!

GRAFENSCHLAG. After the race days in Pulkau, Schrems, Schönau im Mühlkreis, Nursch, all classes drove to the Waldviertel Motocross Cup in Grafenschlag (Zwettl district) on September 1st. This race day also marked the start of the “W4 Cup autumn round”: “We are now at the last races of the year, and there were exciting races again in Grafenschlag.” Now Greinsfurth and the final in Schrems follow,” said Klaus Trinkl, OK boss of the W4 Cup.

Exciting races delivered

In Grafenschlag there were again exciting and fair races for the Waldviertel Motocross Cup. In the 50cc class, Luca Mader from UMCT Langenlois celebrated the day’s success with a double victory, second place went to Mx Devils junior driver Marcel Strauß. In the 65cc class, Leon Horak won the day with two race wins, second place went to Schruf Racing and Motorsport-Arena Bad Fischau rookie Max Hönigsperger. Kevin Fidler from MSC Nursch won the 85cc day’s ranking ahead of Niklas Kruisz from MSC Schrems. The MX2 junior day’s victory in Grafenschlag went to Paul Schanzer from AB Racing ahead of Nico Schöngrundner. The Czech crosser Roman Sebesta (JS MX Racing) triumphed in the MX2 class ahead of Philipp Holzinger from Hopfenblüten Racing Team. The daily victories in the MX OPEN and in the Enduro class went to HSV Burg Kreuzenstein crosser Timon Brichard, and Sebastian Zachs from the Bikestore Kader Racing Team took second place in the daily rankings in both classes. In the seniors, Christoph Litschauer secured the daily victory ahead of Mcv Oberdorf. Pilot Richard Moispointner, Werner Schruf (Schruf Racing) was able to achieve the daily victory in the SuperSeniors class, ahead of Sigi Strubreiter (ÖMRC St. Georgen/Team Auner). Timon Brichard was also number 1 in the champions class, and the HSV Burg Kreuzenstein rider won the daily ranking ahead of Paul Schanzer (Aubi Racing).
Raphael Hirtenlehner (MSV Weyer) was the day’s winner in the Schnupperer class, ahead of Benjamin Pöchlauer (dirtlove).
In the ladies’ category, Leoni Gebetsberger was once again the clear number 1 and impressed with two race wins 3 weeks before her home race in Greinsfurth. The Yamaha rider, who starts for the MSC Greinsfurth, thus prevailed over second-placed Marion Mayer (Mx Devils).

On September 21st, the 50cc, 65cc, 85cc and Ladies classes will compete in the Waldviertel Motocross Cup in Greinsfurth, and all W4 Cup classes will compete again at the final in Schrems on October 6th.
