Los Angeles police arrest second suspect in Las Vegas murder | Homicides

In Los Angeles, a man was arrested as the second suspect in a murder case in mid-August in the central Las Vegas Valley.

David Perkins, 24, was arrested by police on August 29 and booked into the Los Angeles County Jail, where he awaits extradition proceedings on a charge of first-degree murder, according to a Metropolitan Police Department press release.

According to police, a shooting occurred in the 3900 block of Palos Verdes Street at approximately 3:45 a.m. on August 12. Officers found a man in a car stopped in the middle of the road in the 400 block of Calcaterra Circle.

The victim, David Jervis, 44, was taken to Sunset Hospital and Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Anthony Rollans, 28, was taken into custody about a week after the murder, according to police.
