Giro Biero will take place again this year in Ried

Already on Saturday, September 14th, there will be a “pre-program” at the Neptune Fountain from 2 p.m. with a bike and parts market (if interested: girobierovcc@ gmx.at) and start number collection (until 5 p.m.).

On Sunday, the two tours for steel bikes will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Neptune Fountain: the Pfiff-Runde over about 60 kilometers and the Märzen-Runde over about 90 kilometers. The Kracherlrunde for children starts at 11 a.m.

Around 200 participants from Austria and Bavaria are expected. Suitable bikes can also be rented.

Enjoyment factor

The initiator Hubert Kickinger believes that the enjoyment factor and the fun of the event are important: “Like every year, we want to create an unusual cycling experience, which is why the Giro Biero is a cycling trip for steel racing bikes that were produced before 1987. It’s not about speed or victory, but about togetherness, the joy of the Innviertel landscape and bikes that are sometimes over 50 years old.”
