Accion Microfinance Bank hosts Brighta Mind 2.0 debate for schools

Accion Microfinance Bank organized a three-day school discussion to support schools as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

In a statement, the company said the debate set the tone for the rest of the competition and demonstrated the students’ talent for persuasive arguments.

“On the first day of the debate, Precious King School and Cerebral School engaged in an engaging discussion on the topic ‘Should schools prioritise practical and technical knowledge in education?'” the bank said.

It said that Precious King School had performed exceptionally well, achieving the highest score on the first day and securing their place in the final.

“On the second day, Homat Group of Schools, Unique Prella College and Regium Secondary Schools competed in a triple threat match, all on the same theme. Homat’s team displayed remarkable skills and secured a well-deserved place in the finals,” the bank said.

It was said that in the grand finale, Homat Group of Schools and Precious King College competed against each other and debated on the thought-provoking topic of “Should Artificial Intelligence Replace Teachers in the Classroom?”.

“Homat’s debaters performed exceptionally well, presented their arguments effectively and emerged as undisputed winners of the debate,” the bank said.
