NFL expert Esume believes the Chiefs can achieve a three-peat

The Kansas City Chiefs have the chance to make history in the US professional football league NFL by winning their third Super Bowl in a row. RTL expert Patrick Esume thinks this is certainly possible. “If there is a team in NFL history that can pull off a three-peat, it is the Kansas City Chiefs with their superstar Patrick Mahomes and, above all, their head coach Andy Reid,” said the Hamburg native in an interview with SID. “This combination makes the difference.”

The Chiefs won the title in 2023 and 2024, and now the team has “become even stronger on paper,” says Esume, “which is why a third win is not unlikely.” But there are a number of strong competitors. “The San Francisco 49ers can have hope in the NFC. On paper, they are the strongest team in the NFL,” says Esume.

The favorites also included “the Detroit Lions, who were eliminated in the semifinals last season. In the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens are of course the big favorites along with the Chiefs. But there are also teams in the AFC like the Miami Dolphins that have the potential to be at the top.”

NFL teams have won two Super Bowls in a row nine times, but never three. The Green Bay Packers, Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers (2x), 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, New England Patriots and Chiefs have managed to repeat the feat.
