Top rankings – Competition group Weigelsdorf 2 is vice national champion

The Federal Fire Brigade Competition only takes place every four years. The Weigelsdorf Fire Brigade competition group impressively demonstrated their skills with age points.

This year’s competition took place in Feldkirch, with the best fire brigades in Austria. Here, the Weigelsdorf 2 group achieved an excellent 2nd place in the Bronze B class. The Redleiten 1 team from Upper Austria took the win. In the Silver B class, things didn’t go quite as planned and they “only” managed 7th place.

The performance in the Federal Fire Cup, the main discipline of the competition, in which only the best 40 fire departments are allowed to take part, was much more pleasing. Here too, the silver medal was brought to Weigelsdorf after flawless work. The team from Steinhaus in South Tyrol won this competition, making the team from Weigelsdorf the fastest competition group in Austria.
