Of the trio, only Teichmann wins

Three Swiss women, Céline Naef (WTA 177), Jil Teichmann (WTA 202) and Simona Waltert (WTA 209), were in action at the Challenger in Montreux on Monday. But only one survived the first round. Teichmann beat Elsa Jacquemot (FRA/WTA 137) 6:0, 4:6, 6:2. Naef lost to Irina-Camelia Begu (ROU/WTA 130) 0:6, 3:6 on Vaud clay. Naef lost to Laura Pigossi (BRA/WTA 141) 2:6, 6:7 (2:7). Teichmann could meet the Swiss Valentina Ryser (WTA 243) in the round of 16; she will play against Olga Danilovic (WTA 110) from Serbia in the first round. With qualifier Jenny Dürst (WTA 434), a fifth Swiss player is in the main draw in Montreux. She will face Croatian Tara Würth (WTA 361) in the first round on Tuesday.
