The puppet theatre festival took place in Appenzell for the ninth time this weekend. The fantastic little theatre world, in which anything is possible, radiated its magic in two adult and seven children’s performances. In the hot summer weather, the enthusiastic children and adults immersed themselves in the adventures of Rusty Knight, Don Camillo and Peppone, Tiger and Bear, Kasperli and Alpine inhabitants.

Despite the strong competition from fairground events and the bathing weather, the organizers are satisfied with the attendance at the performances. More and more adults are attending the performances, they are happy. This is not surprising: in puppetry, anything is possible, imagination knows no bounds, life is mastered with wit and charm. The performers showed this in thrilling stories, across all genres and impressively presented with a variety of talent and originality.
