Coach Hansi Flick raves about perfect start to the season

The perfect start to the new season of the Spanish league put a smile on Barcelona’s head coach Hansi Flick’s face. “Of course, if you win the games, something very special can grow,” said the former national coach after the 7-0 win in front of the home fans against Real Valladolid. It was the fourth win in four games in the Primera División. The Spanish sports newspaper AS headlined after the gala performance: “This Barca is Rock & Roll”

The 59-year-old Flick also raved about the good atmosphere around the team and the club. “We feel it when we are on the streets or going out to eat. People are so friendly to us and give us a lot of energy.” National goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen is also “very impressed” by the energy in the team. He hopes that after the good start it will continue like this in the coming weeks.

Former Bundesliga striker Robert Lewandowski and former Leipzig professional Dani Olmo each scored a goal for the Catalans against Valladolid. The outstanding player in the Barça jersey, however, was the three-time goalscorer Raphinha.
