Husband convinces his wife that he can care for Goldendoodles – the result is a miserable failure

Hoping to save time and money, a husband persuaded his wife to take care of the dog. But the whole family discovered that it is not as easy as it seems.

Grooming your dog, whether he has shaggy or long fur, has many health benefits. According to the website The Vet, brushing your dog can help to ventilate his coat. The animal’s skin can breathe because oil content is minimized. Too much oil can cause irritation or other skin problems. Brushing and grooming your dog also promotes blood circulation and can create a bond between you and your dog.

But this family’s dog, Reba, is a Goldendoodle, and this breed’s coat needs special attention when grooming. The dog’s long hair is rarely cut to the skin, as it is a protective shield for its sensitive skin. However, a little trimming shouldn’t be too difficult, right?

The husband told his wife he could cut Reba’s hair and there was “no need to take her to the hairdresser.” However, the May 30 TikTok video posted by user @whitneypelfrey shows how miserably that decision backfired. Even the couple’s son noticed the disaster.

The husband started with the dog’s face and worked his way down from there. He stopped abruptly on the dog’s back when he realized that he was way over his head.

It looked like Reba was proudly wearing her new haircut, but that was probably because she didn’t see herself in the mirror. The son, however, gave the husband a dressing down. The last scene in the video shows the boy angrily yelling at the father when he sees what happened to the dog.

Whether Reba was happy with the new hairstyle or not, the woman messaged her hairdresser and sent photos as proof. The hairdresser immediately called Reba over to fix the problem at the man’s salon.

Not only did Reba get a neat haircut, but her luscious locks have also grown back. No one was more thrilled with the result than her son. One of his favorite things to do is run his hands through Reba’s fur, according to a video update on the situation.

The clip has over 1.1 million views and TikTok users were speechless when they saw the result of their husband’s haircut. They had expected something, but nothing had prepared them for this.

“Don’t let your husband quit his job,” commented one, while another said, “I’m calling the Paw Patrol.”

A third user asked, “Did Reba ask for a mullet? Personally, I don’t think that’s what she had in mind.”
