Arsenal UEFA Champions League fixtures: Full 2024/25 league stage schedule

Arsenal faced Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan in the first phase of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League.

The Gunners secured their place in Europe’s most important club tournament after once again finishing second behind Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title last season.

On their return to the competition in the 2023/24 season, Mikel Arteta’s side reached the quarter-finals, where they were eliminated by Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Arsenal are confident of securing a place in the knockout stages of the new and expanded UEFA tournament in 2025. To do so, they will need to successfully progress through the league phase, which replaces the more traditional group stage from this season.

This is what their schedule for the Champions League looks like.

Arsenal will play eight games in the league phase of the 2024/25 Champions League.

Full fixture details including kick-off times will be confirmed on August 31st.

How to buy Champions League tickets 2024/25

As soon as dates and times for the Champions League matches are confirmed, ticket sales will begin. With the exception of the final itself, tickets for European matches cannot be purchased directly from UEFA.

Instead, the primary ticket sales will be handled by the participating clubs themselves, so fans can easily access them as they would at other games.

Once tickets have been distributed, fans can still purchase tickets on the secondary market. StubHub International is the best place to buy tickets to Champions League matches.

Format of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League explained

The main difference in this season’s Champions League is that the group stage has been replaced by a new ‘league stage’ as the number of competing teams increases from 32 to 36.

Previously, 32 teams had qualified for the first phase of the tournament. They were then drawn into eight groups of four, with the seedings helping to determine which teams finished in which place. This was the “group stage”.

From 2024/25, the first phase of the competition will see all 36 teams divided into a league format. Each team will face eight other teams (four at home, four away) and receive three points for a win and one for a draw.

Teams that finish in the top eight in the league phase automatically qualify for the round of 16. Teams ranked 9th to 24th must play a playoff match to advance to the knockout phase and complete the field for the first elimination round.

The competition will then be played in a more traditional knockout format (i.e. home and away matches between two teams, with the winner advancing to the next round) until the final.
