UEFA Champions League 2024/25 draw: Live updates, results as teams learn league stage fixtures and schedule

UEFA Champions League 2024/25 draw: Live updates, results as teams learn league stage fixtures and schedule

For fans around the world, the new UEFA Champions League really begins with the draw for the competition’s opening phase on 29 August.

The last seven of the 36 teams in the “league phase” qualified via the play-off round this week and thus secured their places in the draw in Monaco.

For the 2024/25 season, the draw will look slightly different. The expanded competition will replace the traditional group stage with a new league stage, so that each team will play eight games instead of six and the likelihood of so-called “big” teams meeting earlier in the tournament will increase.

The Sporting News will follow the draw live and provide updates and the confirmed schedule below.

How to buy Champions League tickets 2024/25

As soon as dates and times for the Champions League matches are confirmed, ticket sales will begin. With the exception of the final itself, tickets for European matches cannot be purchased directly from UEFA.

Instead, the primary ticket sales will be handled by the participating clubs themselves, so fans can easily access them as they would at other games.

Once tickets have been distributed, fans can still purchase tickets on the secondary market. StubHub International is the best place to buy tickets to Champions League matches.
