When does the NFL season start?

The season begins on September 5 with Thursday Night Football, when the Baltimore Ravens travel to Kansas City to face the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs, kicking off at 8:20 p.m. ET.

The first game of the season will take place on Friday, September 6, when the Philadelphia Eagles face the Green Bay Packers at the Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil. Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. ET. It will be the first NFL game played in South America.

The game will be broadcast live on NBC. It can also be streamed on NFL+, the league’s exclusive video streaming subscription service.

In the Philadelphia area, the game will be broadcast live on NBC10.

The game will stream exclusively on NBC Universal’s Peacock, with Noah Eagle providing commentary, Todd Blackledge as analyst and Kaylee Hartung as sideline reporter. Fans outside the Philadelphia market can also stream the game on NFL+.
