Mercedes Moné received mixed reactions to the match against Britt Baker, but had fun

Last weekend, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné successfully defended her title against Dr. Britt Baker DMD at the AEW All In Pay-per-View

Recently, Mercedes Moné mentioned in an edition of her Moné Mag that there was mixed reaction to her match against Britt Baker. She then mentioned that the reaction was mainly due to the crowd being tired after waiting for almost four hours before the TBS title match began.

“I heard a lot of mixed reactions to my All In match with Britt. I had a really good time out there with her. I sensed some crowd fatigue. It’s only natural to be third to last since the crowd had already seen over 10 matches before ours. They arrived at 5:30 and by the time we came out it was about 9:00. That’s a long time but amazing at the same time because AEW really gave them something. I could hear some chants from DMD and CEO but it’s harder in a stadium. Britt told me later that on video you can hear the crowd reaction much better and that there was more crowd reaction than we felt.”

Mercedes Moné is convinced that the two could have wrestled differently

Moné also mentioned that the two could have done some things differently in the match, but she doesn’t want to dwell on the “what if?” questions.

“Is there anything I would have done differently? There is. Honestly, a lot. But I never want to get too into the ‘what ifs’ of my games or my life. I’m just saying that I learned a lot from the game and can only grow if I continue to try new things. Maybe I would have listened to my instincts more. I feel like I did things that maybe weren’t essential for this game: things I could have saved for another time. But there’s also little point in looking back too far, other than what we can learn and use for the future. One thing is for sure: I can’t wait to do it all again next year in Texas,” said Mercedes Moné.
