WWE Hall of Famer discussed another match with MJF and believes AEW star could have pulled it off

A WWE Hall of Fame member recently admitted that he could come out of retirement for a match against former AEW World Champion MJF.

Mick Foley had previously stated that he wanted to do something special before his 60th birthday and now revealed that he was thinking of returning to the ring one last time, possibly in a deathmatch. While deathmatch king Matt Cardona was in contention to be Foley’s opponent, so was MJF.

Speaking at Nickel City Comic Con, The Hardcore Legend looked back at the plans for his final fight, explaining that the AEW star offered him 6 weeks of TV exposure, adding that the former world champion could have gotten around his restrictions:

Man, I’ll tell you what, when I announced this intention, tons of people from every promotion reached out to me and one guy I probably would have gone with because he had obviously thought about it and announced six great weeks of television was MJF… We didn’t take a picture together because we didn’t want to ruin the secret meeting, but I heard what he had to say, I really liked it.

I had no doubt he would have pulled it off perfectly, and you know, he’s so good and at his best that he could have worked around my weaknesses and played to my strengths, and I think we could have done something pretty cool. MJF. Final answer. Take that, Matt Cardona (Foley laughed).

Due to a concussion, Mick Foley announced earlier this year that no further games would take place.

MJF finds out who stole his property

After losing the American Championship to Will Ospreay at All In, Maxwell Jacob Friedman let his emotions out on Dynamite and announced that he would renounce his American citizenship as a result. The commercial was interrupted by Daniel Garcia, who informed MJF of what had happened to his beloved Dynamite Diamond Ring.
