Dana White hints at upcoming fights with Conor McGregor and several other UFC stars

Dana White hints at upcoming fights with Conor McGregor and several other UFC stars

UFC CEO Dana White promoted a power slap event live on Instagram last Wednesday night and hinted during the live appearance that fight news involving some of the promotion’s biggest stars was imminent.

Not long ago, Dana White told the media that Conor McGregor would not fight before the end of the year, although both he and Michael Chandler had called for their fight to be postponed until December.

The Irishman subsequently took to social media to express his frustration, recently tweeting on X “When I’m free” and claiming that the UFC is delaying his return.

Dana White arouses curiosity about upcoming fights of Conor McGregor and other UFC stars

“The Notorious” has apparently been able to convince the UFC leadership with his charm, because last Wednesday White took part in a live video on Instagram in which he revealed that there would soon be news about McGregor’s return.

“We talked about Conor today. We’ll have news on Conor soon,” White said live on Instagram.

McGregor liked the boss’s comments and responded with a cheeky wink, indicating that he was happy with the outcome of the talks.

However, news about the McGregor fight was not the only thing White hinted at. He also announced that he would also have news about Charles Oliveira and Alexander Volkanovski.

“Oliveira against Volkanovski? There will be news about both guys soon.

“We’ve got news coming soon on Conor, we’ve got news coming soon on (Charles) Oliveira, we’ve got news coming soon on (Michael) Chandler, we’ve got news coming soon on Max Holloway, all that good shit coming soon,” White continued.

Michael Chandler sends a message to Conor McGregor

“Iron” Chandler has been waiting idly for his fight against McGregor for several years now and has shown little sign of deciding to give up the fight.

Chandler is convinced that if he decided once and for all to put the potential fight behind him, the UFC would offer him another big fight instead.

“Yeah, I could have taken another fight. I could still call the UFC right now and say I’m done with the Conor thing, give me another fight and they would do it. At the end of the day, if this is a hill I die on and it doesn’t turn out well for me, at least I was a man of his word,” Chandler said in an interview with Beat The Heat.

Nevertheless, the 38-year-old all-action fighter remains convinced that his fight against the former two-weight world champion will be rescheduled, a sentiment reinforced by White’s recent comments.

“I will never play the victim… With all due respect, I’m willing to leave you behind. I’m willing to lay you flat on your back in the middle of the Octagon, wherever that may be, hopefully Las Vegas, Nevada, and I can walk out of that Octagon and never have to think about you again. I can just walk on the heels of the audience that was there that night.”

Charles Oliveira hints his comeback fight will be at lightweight despite rumours of a welterweight bout

Former lightweight champion “Do Bronx” Oliveira was another fighter whose fight White hinted would be announced shortly.

The crowd favorite hinted following his loss to Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 300 that he is considering moving up to 170 pounds for his next fight after Colby Covington challenged him.

Nevertheless, the 34-year-old recently posted on Instagram that he is training hard ahead of his upcoming comeback and hinted that the fight will take place at lightweight rather than welterweight.

“Family, I’m dying to fight and I know you all want to see me fight. I hope my fight will happen soon and I count on your support. I’m doing my part by training. Soon the lightweight lion will go hunting,” Oliveira explained.

Following his recent win at UFC 305, Dan Hooker demanded a fight against the Brazilian, and this fight now makes a lot of sense considering Hooker is now ranked in the top five and the two have never fought each other before.

The New Zealander stated that he wants to fight at the end of the year, despite rumours that the federation will return to Australia in February, as his wife is due to give birth early next year.
