Mechanical Arms reveals third key visual and premiere date

The upcoming Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms Anime has received its third key visual, which shows main characters Hikaru and Aki in battle while newly revealed brothers Yakumo and Tsukihito stand in the background. Yakumo, the founder of the Kagami Group and the younger of the siblings, is voiced by Capi Yamaguchi.

In addition, it was announced that the series will begin airing in Japan on October 3 (JST) (actually October 4 at 00:30 JST).

Mecha-Ude: Mechanical Arms began with a pilot episode in 2019. The premise of the series is described as follows:

One day, middle school student Hikaru Amatsuga encounters a mysterious machine lifeform named Alma in Kita-Kagami City, which takes the form of an “Ude (Arm)”. Alma unsuccessfully tried to bond with Hikaru himself to gain energy. Instead, Alma somehow bonded with the hoodie he was wearing. Meanwhile, a major corporation called the Kagami Group is on the hunt for Alma, seeking to turn Mecha-Ude into weapons against their will. A group of Mecha-Ude known as “ARMS” are also looking for Alma in order to break free from the Kagami Group. In the midst of all this, Hikaru cannot bear to abandon Alma, who cannot remember anything, and decides to put on the hoodie Alma is bonded to, thereby getting involved in the epic conflict between Mecha-Ude users that is currently unfolding…

A manga drawn by Aria the Scarlet Ammunition‘S Yoshino Koyoka Publication began in September 2022 on LINE Manga and ebookjapan.
