Geneva Watch Days 2024: the must-see watch innovations

As Geneva Watch Days 2024 opens its doors today (29 August – 2 September), we are on site and ready for the annual event that will replace the glitz of Watches and Wonders 2024 with an intimate celebration of the watchmaking craft.

Originally conceived as a stopgap during the pandemic and initiated by then Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, Geneva Watch Days has since outgrown its status as a temporary solution and become one of the most important events in the calendar, while retaining its intimate appeal. A fascinating mix of top brands and exquisite independents provide the backdrop for the quiet spectacle, framed by an extended Swiss summer. These are the brands you should visit when you’re in town.

Award-winning independent Laurent Ferrier has a portfolio that offers an ever-growing audience a curated alternative to the big brands. With a focused line of timeless wristwatches and sports watches, this year’s traditional GWD release of a Serie Atèlier offers a delicate blend of both in 18k gold. In the Serie VI, Ferrier combines the minimalist splendor of the Classic Microrotor with the intricate date window design of the Sport Auto, creating a spectacular scene in brushed gold.
