According to reports, a gas leak broke out at an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) workshop in the central Iranian province of Isfahan, killing one person and injuring ten others.

The incident was reported early Thursday by the press office of the Saheb al-Zaman Corps, an IRGC subsidiary that oversees the force’s units stationed in the province.

“Further information regarding the incident will be released at a later date,” the office added, without providing further details.

In April, explosions occurred in the provincial capital of the same name after local air defense fired on “suspicious objects.”

Brigadier General Siavash Mihandoust of the Iranian army clarified the matter at the time, saying: “The noise was caused by Isfahan’s air defense systems firing at the objects. There was no damage or accident.”

Space agency spokesman Hossein Dalirian also said air defenses shot down several micro-drones in the incident, adding: “So far, no foreign airstrike has been carried out on Isfahan or other areas of the country.”
