The Missouri Tigers begin their 2024 season with a home game on Thursday against the Murray State Racers, an FCS team from the Ohio Valley Conference. If the game against the Racers in football sounds familiar, you’re not wrong. But you also have a pretty good memory, because it’s been 11 years since these two teams faced each other. August 31, 2013, to be exact.

Also known as the Henry Josey Return to Glory game.

Mizzou won this game handily. Josey should have many more big moments this season, but I’m not sure anyone could see clearly when Josey finally put the ball in.

However, this game was not that game. It took Missouri a while to separate from the Racers that day. Hopefully it won’t take as long this time.
