U20 World Cup live updates from day two: More finals on the agenda

U20 World Cup live updates from day two: More finals on the agenda

One day up, one day down since the U20 World Championship in Lima, Peru.

The US team had a minor mishap at the start when the Americans – the reigning U20 champions – did not enter a mixed relay team due to a typo. The USATF released a statement saying that the team members had not been entered correctly into the U20 World Championship system.

This meant that the USA was unable to win any medals in the 4×400 race, and no American won a medal on the first day of competition.

But Day 2 offers some consolation. Four more finals are scheduled, including the women’s discus, women’s long jump and men’s and women’s 100m. The women’s heptathlon will also conclude on the final day.

Stay tuned for updates on the morning and evening sessions from the Videna Athletic Stadium in Peru.
