Suspect arrested in Cinemark shooting

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – The suspect in the shooting at Cinemark on Tuesday, August 6, has been arrested.

Peter Zander Holloman, 25, was booked into the Wichita County Jail on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, on two counts of child abandonment or endangerment.

Holloman was released on bail hours later, but the original bail was set at $10,000.

According to Holloman’s arrest warrant, officers found Holloman in the Cinemark parking lot with a gunshot wound to his ankle. According to WFPD, Holloman was the husband of a woman who was there with another man.

The man who shot Holloman told a police officer he shot in self-defense and then called 9-1-1.

According to court documents, Holloman’s pickup truck was parked behind the other man’s vehicle, blocking it, and two children, ages 1 and 3, were in the back seat of Holloman’s pickup during the altercation.

Officers later interviewed Holloman after he was taken to the hospital. He told officers he confronted his wife and her boyfriend in the parking lot. Holloman said he and the man fought over a gun, which later went off, hitting him in the ankle.

During questioning, Holloman told police that he knew the man had a gun and referred to a previous altercation.

According to WFPD, Holloman endangered a child by attempting to start a fight with a man he knew was armed.
