Auburn Police Release Bodycam Footage Showing Intense Struggle to Protect Child (Video)

Auburn police have released bodycam footage showing a tense confrontation between officers and 39-year-old Chelci Love, who attempted to choke her three-year-old child during an altercation.

Officers were called to Love’s apartment at West Middle School to assist Child Protective Services after reports emerged that she had been sleeping on the floor with her two children, ages six and three.

The video shows officers begging Love to release her child as she struggles and threatens both her mother and the CPS officer.

Despite attempts to subdue them, Love refused to let go of the child, forcing officers to use physical force to protect the child and take Love into custody.

Love now faces several charges, including endangering the welfare of a child and resisting state authority.
