3 things to keep in mind during the UFC break

The only UFC fights fans will see this week are the third episode of Dana White’s Contender Series, which takes place on Tuesday, August 27. After that, the Octagon will be on hiatus until Week 4. But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing for combat sports fans to watch this week.

ONE Championship will host its ONE Friday Night Fights series live from Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, August 30. The event will feature both MMA and Muay Thai bouts and will be broadcast free on YouTube for American viewers. The event will culminate in a Muay Thai bout between Yodlekpet Or.Pitisak and K. Suanluangrotyok. The MMA main event will be a bantamweight bout between Bolat Zamanbekov and Valmir Galiev.

ONE Friday Fights 77 card

The UFL will host its fifth event in Chandler, Arizona on Friday, August 30th and will air on YouTube. The card will be headlined by UFC veteran Hunter Azure and Vince Morales in a 135-pound title fight. Other UFC veterans such as Sheymon Moraes and TJ Brown will also appear on the card.

A boxing match will take place in Atlanta, Georgia and will air on DAZN on Friday, August 30. The main event is a middleweight bout between Elijah Pierce and Jose Sanmartin. The co-main event is a middleweight bout between Brandon Adams and Francisco Veron.
