Donald Trump says an agreement has been reached with Kamala Harris’ campaign team on the rules for her first presidential debate.

The former president wrote on Truth Social: “I have made an agreement with the radical left Democrats for a debate with Comrade Kamala Harris. It will air live on Tuesday, September 10th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on ABC FAKE NEWS, by far the nastiest and most unfair news anchor in the business.”

He added: “The rules will be the same as the last CNN debate, which seemed to go well for everyone except maybe the fraudulent Joe Biden.”

Also on Tuesday, special counsel Jack Smith filed new charges against the former president for his alleged illegal attempts to overturn his 2020 election loss. The new grand jury indictment came after the Supreme Court granted Trump some “immunity” from criminal prosecution for his “official acts in office.”

Meanwhile, a group of more than 200 Republicans who worked for President George W. Bush and Senators John McCain and Mitt Romney have endorsed Harris as their presidential candidate instead of Trump.

According to a Fairleigh Dickinson University poll, the vice president is seven percentage points ahead of her Republican rival nationally and is now at 50 percent, ahead of him at 43 percent.

The issue was hotly debated in the Pentagon, in Congress, and among state governors, becoming what is known as a “political lightning rod.”

What the elections in Montana, Arizona, North Carolina and Florida can tell us about the 2024 presidential election

Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff has attended a series of campaign receptions, while Governor Tim Walz will address the International Association of Fire Fighters on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Trump and his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, will travel through Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

But of course the presidency is just one of the races that will be decided in November. And some of the lower-ballot races are just as bloody. They could also have a massive impact on the front-runners.

Here’s a roundup of the most important non-presidential elections that could make a big difference.

Harris campaign releases new ad to publicize plans to build 3 million homes

Vice President Kamala Harris is launching a new advertising campaign to promote her plan to build three million new homes over four years, a move designed to curb inflationary pressures that contrast sharply with Republican Donald Trump’s approach.

Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, is unveiling her plan in a new one-minute ad that draws on her personal experience: She grew up in a rented apartment while her mother saved for 10 years before she could buy a home. The ad targets voters in swing states, including Arizona and Nevada. Campaign officials are also holding 20 events this week focused on housing issues.

The race for the 2024 Senate seat is an exciting one: A neck-and-neck race in deep blue Maryland has taken an interesting turn

The hotly contested race is no big surprise to Marylanders, who know Hogan from his two terms as governor, during which he was one of the most popular politicians in the country. Before the governor announced his candidacy, he was widely considered the only Republican with a serious chance of winning the seat.

Is “Powerfulnnz” the new “Covfefe”?

Sadly, it probably won’t be the new “Covfefe” – his viral typo from his presidency – since it didn’t get quite as many views on Truth Social.

Here is Rhian Lubin to explain everything about it.
