PlayStation leaked LEGO Horizon Adventures release date

PlayStation leaked LEGO Horizon Adventures release date

It looks like LEGO Aloy will be released on November 14th.

It seems that the release date for LEGO Horizon Adventure may have been accidentally leaked early by PlayStation. The official PlayStation website features a number of games in two categories: new releases and coming soon. LEGO Horizon Adventure is under the banner “Coming Soon,” and the games section apparently listed November 14th as the release date. That date has since been removed, but not before it was noticed and shared by users on Reddit. There was speculation that the date would be revealed during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase this morning, and while the game did indeed make an appearance, the footage only stated that the game will release “Christmas 2024.”

Footage from LEGO Horizon Adventure can be found in the trailer below from 0:57.

Until we get something officially confirmed, readers should take this release date with a grain of salt. However, since the source appears to be PlayStation, it’s pretty safe to assume this is true! PlayStation has long said the game will be released in 2024, and with the year quickly coming to an end, November seems as good a month as any for the release. LEGO Horizon Adventure.

LEGO Horizon Adventure is the first time a Horizon game has been available on a Nintendo platform. Horizon is owned by PlayStation and many Nintendo fans were surprised when the game was announced for Switch. Speaking to Video Games Chronicle in June LEGO Horizon Adventure Narrative Director James Windeler provided some insight into why the game was chosen for the Switch. According to Windeler, “The Switch is really a platform that allows us to broaden the audience.” Windeler noted that the game was developed with the goal of appealing to all types of gamers, so it made sense to offer the game on a platform with broad appeal.

This does not mean that we suddenly have a Horizon Zero Dawn port to Switch, and those hoping for future Horizon games on the platform may want to temper their expectations. However, it’s nice to see Aloy on the system, and it will be interesting to see how the game fares on Switch. Given the strong sales of games on the system and the huge number of Switch systems sold, it’s not unlikely that the Switch version could outsell the PC and PS5 versions!
