Hanford teacher placed on leave during police investigation

HANFORD, Calif. (FOX26) — The Hanford Joint Union High School District released a statement Tuesday regarding allegations made against a teacher.

We are aware that there are numerous posts on social media regarding a Sierra Pacific High School teacher and the allegations made against him.

The district said it is cooperating with Hanford police during the investigation.

It says the teacher was placed on leave after the school and school district were informed of the allegations.

There is currently no indication that this is a student on our campus, but we take such situations very seriously and work closely with police investigators.

The district has not disclosed what the allegations are or who made them.

As this is a personal and open police investigation, no further comments can be made at this time.
