Former UFC fighter banned for biting opponent’s signs at major promotion

Igor Severino, who was kicked out of the UFC for biting his opponent, has announced his move to OKTAGON MMA.

For a long time, Severino was considered banned from professional MMA after drawing blood from André Lima with a bite to the armpit during his UFC debut in March. However, that is not the case, as he revealed in an OKTAGON MMA Instagram post on August 27.

“Thank you, OKTAGON MMA, for this opportunity,” said Severino. “I will beat anyone in the featherweight division. I will become champion, it’s just a matter of time…”

They say everyone deserves a second chance, and at 21 years old and with a professional record of 8-1, Severino must qualify. He will join the booming OKTAGON featherweight division, home of Losene Keita, one of their biggest stars and current champion.

OKTAGON is one to keep an eye on as they sign another UFC-level talent. Their current schedule includes two major events in September, including the debut of former UFC middleweight Makhmud Muradov.
