Woman killed, man injured in League City shooting; police arrest suspect

A woman is dead and a man is injured after a shooting in League City. Police have arrested a suspect at the scene.

League City Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred this morning in the 1900 block of E Winn Street.

At approximately 9:44 a.m., the LCPD received a call reporting shots fired in the area. Officers arrived at the scene at approximately 9:49 a.m. and arrested a man suspected of being involved in the shooting.

Inside the home, officers discovered two victims, a woman and a man, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began life-saving measures until League City Fire Department rescue personnel arrived.

The woman’s death was pronounced at the scene of the accident and the man was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The crime scene remains busy as LCPD officers, detectives and crime scene investigators continue to investigate the incident.
