MrBeast warns fans about email scams and asks them to participate in his videos

MrBeast warns fans about email scams and asks them to participate in his videos

“Please share, don’t get scammed,” says MrBeast’s chief of staff (YouTube)

A “fraudulent” website is trying to trick MrBeast fans into paying money in exchange for participating in his YouTube videos.

MrBeast has yet to respond to the allegations made against him over the past month – including claims that he staged content in his videos and knowingly hired a registered sex offender – but those around him are not staying silent on social media.

The head of MrBeast’s ideas and thumbnail team tried to refute the staging allegations, while the YouTube star’s girlfriend said that only “half” of the allegations were untrue.

In the middle of it all, another MrBeast employee has reached out to fans, but on a completely different topic: A fraudulent email is circulating in which he asks for money to participate in the YouTuber’s videos.

“Please share, don’t get scammed. We will never charge money to participate in a video,” said MrBeast’s chief of staff Shawn Hendrix.

He added that an email was circulating from a contact at mrbeastcast.com asking for payment to participate in the upcoming Amazon television series “Beast Games” and videos on MrBeast’s YouTube channel.

“These emails are designed to trick you into revealing sensitive information. We are working to remove the fraudulent website and forms, but in the meantime, please do not click on any links or provide any personal information,” he said on Twitter.

The production of “Beast Games” for Amazon Prime also recently came under criticism as some contestants had to be hospitalized and others complained that they were “barely fed.”

In light of the controversy surrounding the YouTuber, MrBeast has hired a human resources manager and a general counsel and organized company-wide sensitivity training.

The scandal is hurting MrBeast’s YouTube videos, as his last two videos have been downvoted 2.4 and 1.7 million times respectively, which is much more than any of his other videos.
