Foggy start, pleasant daytime conditions

The Central Coast will wake up to a thick marine layer on Tuesday morning as the weak onshore current replaces Monday’s weak offshore current. In the afternoon, skies will clear up nicely and temperatures will feel similar to Monday – warmer inland and milder on the coast.

Temperatures on the coast will drop by several degrees, partly due to the onshore current. Inland temperatures will be between 30 and 35 degrees, while temperatures on the coast will be mainly between 15 and 21 degrees. A breeze will pick up in the afternoon, but will remain below warning levels.

Very little change is expected from day to day for the rest of the work week. Temperatures will fall slightly below average on Wednesday and the weather pattern will remain generally stable. The increasing onshore flow means low clouds and fog will return each night and morning, but fine and pleasant conditions are expected in the late morning and early afternoon.
