When does streaming start?

A Netflix release for CBS’ Tierra del Fuego There may be a second season on the horizon, and viewers are wondering if it will happen.

Together with the upcoming premiere date for Tierra del Fuego Season 3, the first season of the series, released on Netflix on August 1 and introduced the story to a new fan base.

Fire Country Netflix Status

By deadline, Tierra del Fuego Season 1 was released on Netflix on August 1st. That’s about two and a half months before the series returns to CBS with Season 3 on October 18th.

After its release, the series enjoyed almost instant popularity on Netflix. It was consistently in the top 10 most-watched shows on Netflix in August and reached number 3 in the overall TV show rankings.

Normally, shows produced by Paramount’s CBS Studios are streamed on Paramount+, where both seasons of Tierra del Fuego are currently streaming, so it’s unique to see a show like this debut on another streamer like Netflix.

Netflix’s recent top 10 in the United States had Tierra del Fuego 5th place because the series is still holding its own against the competition. It has been in the top 10 since the week of August 5th.

Will Fire Country season 2 be on Netflix?

Given this success, there is undoubtedly an opportunity Tierra del Fuego Season 2 could follow Season 1 on Netflix and continue simultaneously on Paramount+.

However, if that were to happen, Season 2 would likely not be available to stream on Netflix until summer 2025, just before the series’ potential fourth season airs on television.

With Season 1 hitting Netflix on August 1, expect a similar time frame if and when Season 2 gets the same treatment, likely around July/August.

While the details of the streaming deal will almost certainly remain secret, it would not be surprising Tierra del Fuego Season 2 will be released on Netflix at some point along with Season 1.
