Phase One XC 40 medium format camera launches with 150 MP sensor and wide-angle lens in a compact housing

The digital back controls the sensor, a 150 megapixel medium format sensor that measures 53.4 x 40 millimeters, around 2.5 times the size of a 35mm sensor, and 48 percent larger than the sensor of a Hasselblad X2D. The digital back can take photos with a resolution of 14,204 x 10,652 pixels at a light sensitivity of ISO 50 to 25,600. Phase One has a dynamic range of 15 f-stops and long exposures of up to 60 minutes. It can be operated either via a 3.2 inch touchscreen or via Capture One on a connected computer.
