Europa League – Eintracht fears Koch’s participation at the start of the European campaign – Sport

Frankfurt/Main (dpa) – Eintracht Frankfurt is worried about the availability of defensive leader Robin Koch ahead of the Europa League opener. The 28-year-old international player was absent from the Bundesliga club’s final training session for the home match against Czech representative Viktoria Pilsen on Thursday (9 p.m./RTL).

According to the club, Koch only completed individual exercises. The reason for this was not initially disclosed. Koch’s planned participation in the press conference at noon (1:30 p.m.) was cancelled.

Midfielder Mario Götze is back in team training. The 2014 world champion missed last Saturday’s Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach (2:0) due to an infection. It remains to be seen whether the 32-year-old will be an option for the match against Pilsen.
