Jones County Sheriff’s Department investigates road rage shooting

JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) – The Jones County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, are investigating a road rage shooting incident that occurred Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when officers became aware of an altercation between two vehicles.

Inv. Stephen Graeser said the incident began in the town of Ellisville.

The apparent incident of driving aggression ended at a private address on State Route 29 North outside of Ellisville.

He said one person was shot and the suspects left the scene.

There were no life-threatening injuries.

The department said there may be multiple suspects.
