KB5043131 Windows 10 22H2 [Manueller Download] 19045.4957 as optional update September 2024 [Jetzt für alle]

(Updated 25.09.2024): Tonight, Microsoft made KB 5043131 available to everyone. The update itself has been revised again. This changes the version number to Windows 10 19045.4957. We have of course updated the downloads.

(Original September 17, 2024): Microsoft has released the new optional update for Windows 10 22H2. This month it is KB 5043131 and this increases the version number to 19045.4955. As we know, Microsoft divides this update into Release Preview and Beta.

The update is currently being distributed in these channels via Windows Update. Everyone will then receive it as a C update around the 4th Tuesday in September. Let’s get to the changes this month.

Known issues with KB5043131

• After installing this update, you may not be able to change your user account profile picture. Error 0x80070520 may occur. Microsoft is working on a solution

Fixes and improvements made by KB5043131 in the RP and Beta channels

• [Startmenü] New! This update moves your profile picture to different positions. There is also a new background color for the left panel in the menu. This color change makes the items in the panel more prominent. This change may not be available to all users as it is being rolled out gradually.
• [Microsoft Entra Single Sign-On (SSO)] The SSO prompt required by the European Digital Markets Act (DMA) prompts too often. This occurs when you authenticate with a certificate.
• [IE-Modus] Microsoft Edge sometimes stops responding when you use IE mode.
• [Länder- und Betreibereinstellungs-Asset] This update updates COSA profiles for certain mobile operators.
• [Medienwiedergabe] Playback of some media may be interrupted when using certain surround sound technology.
• [Datei-Explorer und Taskleiste] Windows Server stops responding when you use applications such as File Explorer and the taskbar.
• [Windows Update Opt-In-Benachrichtigungen] They will now appear when you log in.
• [Verzeichnisaufzählung] This may fail if a directory has symbolic links with long target names.
