FH Wr Neustadt: Biomedical analytics starts at the Biotech Campus Tulln

From the winter semester 2025/26, the highly sought-after Bachelor’s degree program in Biomedical Analytics will no longer only be offered in Wiener Neustadt, but also at the Biotech Campus in Tulln.

TULLN. When a blood sample decides on the right therapy or a precise diagnosis dictates the course of treatment, biomedical analysts are in demand. From the winter semester of 2025/26, students at the Biotech Campus Tulln will learn in the midst of state-of-the-art laboratories how they can make a decisive contribution to healthcare through precise analyses. The degree program, funded by the state of Lower Austria, enables practice-oriented training that directly targets the growing demand for qualified healthcare professionals – ideal for those who see their future in clinics, outpatient clinics or research laboratories.

Optimal conditions at the Biotech Campus Tulln

The Tulln location offers optimal conditions for studying: the modern laboratory infrastructure with a focus on biotechnology and bioanalytics enables practical training. Embedded in the Technopol Campus, an internationally recognized center for cutting-edge research and high-tech companies, students benefit from numerous cooperation opportunities and synergies. In addition, the good public transport connections to Vienna ensure that Tulln is easily accessible both regionally and nationally.

“I am very pleased that we are now offering the highly sought-after study of biomedical analysis in another region and can thus cover the unmet need in northern Lower Austria. I am also looking forward to the many possible collaborations in the field of biotechnology, in which laboratory analysis methods of biomedical analysis can also be used,”

says Thomas Pekar, head of the Bachelor’s program in Biomedical Analytics at the FHWN.

On-site training opportunities

Students can also benefit from a wide range of training options at the Biotech Campus of the FH Wiener Neustadt: Existing master’s degree programs such as “Biotechnology & Analytics” and “Bio Data Science” offer an ideal opportunity to deepen your education after completing your bachelor’s degree. A total of 18 study places are offered at the Tulln location. The curriculum and the course management under Thomas Pekar remain unchanged and correspond to the already successful concept at Campus 1 in Wiener Neustadt.

“We are very proud that the Bachelor’s degree program in Biomedical Analysis at the Tulln location now also represents the Faculty of Health at the FHWN in the heart of Lower Austria. We are delighted to have the opportunity to accompany young people from a large geographical area on their way to a health profession.”

adds Bettina Koller-Resetarics, Head of the Faculty of Health at FHWN.
