Man arrested for drive-by shooting and other charges

Duluth police say they have arrested a suspect in connection with an alleged drive-by shooting that occurred in Duluth on Sunday, September 22.

A 43-year-old Duluth man is in the St. Louis County Jail awaiting possible charges of drive-by shooting, violating protective orders and smuggling contraband into jail. While the alleged suspect was being questioned, officers say they found a small amount of meth.

Authorities said officers were investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday in the 5400 block of Oakley Street. According to the report, there were people inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured.

The suspect and the residents knew each other.
