Download series & films

With the download function, you can watch Disney Plus films and series offline at any time. This is particularly useful for vacations, subway rides, or at home if your WiFi is having thermal connection problems in certain rooms. You can find out how to download your content from “Disney+”, where you can set the quality and storage location, and other tips here.

Downloading films, series and entire seasons from “Disney+” is Only with the app for smartphones and tablets (Android & iPhone). There is no offline function for other streaming devices, consoles and PCs.

Set video quality & storage location

1. Opens the “Disney+” app on your mobile device.
2. Tap on your Profile picture (bottom right).
3. Select “App Settings” out of.
4. Under the Point “Downloads” you will find the following setting options:
5. • Download only via WiFi: Enabled by default. If you set the slider to “disabled”, you can also download content using your mobile data volume.
   • Download quality: Is preset to “Standard”. If you want better image quality, you can select “Medium” or “High”, but this also requires much more storage space.
   • Download location: Here you can choose whether the offline content should be saved on your device’s internal or external storage (if an SD card is inserted).

1. Opens the “Disney+” app on your mobile device and select any content.
2. On the Detail page of the respective content you can now find:
3. • At Films: The “⇓ Download button directly below the “Play” button.
   • At Series: In addition to the season selection a “Squadron ⇓“-Buttonto download the entire season, as well as next to each episode a “⇓“-Buttonto download a single episode.
4. As soon as you have the respective Tap the download buttonthe content is downloaded. Depending on the download quality and duration, this may take some time.

You will then find the downloaded content in the Download areawhich you can find in the lower navigation menu via the Arrow symbol “⇓“ reached.

Remove download

Remove individual downloads

1. Opens the “Disney+” app and type in Navigation menu on the Arrow symbol “⇓“to go to the download area.
2. Tap the save icon next to the episode or movie – either a Smartphone with a hook or a SD card with a hook.
   

   

3. In the context menu (below) tap on the Trash can “Remove download”.

Delete all downloads

1. Opens the “Disney+” app on your mobile device.
2. Tap on your Profile picture (bottom right).
3. Select “App Settings” out of.
4. Tap under the Point “Downloads” on “Delete all downloads”.
