Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina and Wisconsin are on Trump’s campaign schedule this week

As the 2024 presidential election approaches the home stretch, all eyes are on the campaigns of former President Donald Trump and his Vice President Kamala Harris.

After the two debated on September 10, polls generally favored Harris. A post-debate USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll showed Harris ahead in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania, 49% to 46%.

However, the Trump camp received a boost from a New York Times-Sienna poll that showed the Republican candidate ahead in Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina.

Harris was still considered the favorite on Monday, an indicator that has only been wrong twice in modern election history.

Both candidates will campaign in swing states this week, while Trump will campaign in Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Here is Donald Trump’s campaign schedule for this week.

Donald Trump’s schedule from September 24th to September 30th

September 24: Savannah, Georgia

Trump is scheduled to deliver a speech in Georgia on Tuesday, just weeks after Harris and Walz visited the state.

An announcement of the event in Savannah said Trump will “deliver a speech outlining his plan to cut taxes for American business owners and stressing the importance of buying American-made goods.”

Harris capped her bus tour of Georgia in August with a rally at Enmarket Arena that drew more than 5,000 supporters.

September 25: Mint Hill, North Carolina

Trump will hold a rally in Mint Hill, North Carolina, on Wednesday.

This will be Trump’s first appearance since it was revealed that Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, Trump’s endorsed gubernatorial candidate, made a series of racist and offensive remarks on a porn site, including calling himself a “black NAZI!”

Several senior members of Robinson’s campaign team withdrew from the race, and Tennessee Governor and Chairman of the Republican Governor’s Association Bill Lee withdrew his support for Robinson on Monday.

September 27: Michigan

Trump will make a double appearance in Michigan on Friday.

He plans to hold a rally in Walker followed by a town hall meeting in Warren.

Earlier, just days after his decisive defeat to Harris, Trump held a town hall meeting in Flint, where he refused to admit his defeat in the 2020 election and made conspiracies related to electoral fraud.

September 28: Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin

At the end of the week, Trump is expected to be in Wisconsin, where he will hold a rally in Prairie du Chien.

Right-wing politicians, including Wisconsin Republican Senate candidate Eric Hovde and U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden, have sought to portray the city as a victim of Venezuelan gang violence, saying a man with ties to the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua attacked a woman and her daughter in the city.

Although Alejandro Jose Coronel Zarate was charged with three counts of aggravated crimes and does indeed have ties to the transnational gang, local police said the attack was not random and that the victims were acquaintances of Zarate and had brought him from Madison to Prairie du Chien.
