Oliver Kalkofe as game director: “The Duel for the Money” returns: start and list of participants revealed

Joko Winterscheidt (45) and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (41) are reviving an earlier game edition from their “Circus HalliGalli” days. The format “The Duel for Money” (2015-2017) is getting another chance after a break. Together with quizmaster Oliver Kalkofe (59), who had already taken on this role before, the two presenters will spend eight new episodes of game nights with questions and poker together with well-known people. The streaming service Joyn has now announced which celebrities will be taking part.

The musician Sido (43), “World Wide Wohnzimmer” twin Dennis Wolter (34) and the television presenter Hadnet Tesfai (45) will take part in the first episode. In the second show, the artist Shirin David (29), her musician colleague Ski Aggu (26) and the actress Jessica Schwarz (47) will take a seat at the poker table.

The following well-known people have been announced for the remaining shows: “World Wide Wohnzimmer” twin Benni Wolter will replace his brother, and the actors Palina Rojinski, Nilam Farooq and Edin Hasanovic will also be there, together with the comedian Hazel Brugger and her colleagues Till Reiners, the musicians Michi Beck and Sasha, the singer Lary, the choreographer Nikeata Thompson, the TV presenters Micky Beisenherz and Steven Gätjen, the TV presenter Jeannine Michaelsen, the writer Sophie Passmann, the writer Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre, the entertainer Riccardo Simonetti and the Twitch streamer Papaplatte.

The revival of “The Duel for Money” begins on November 4th (every Monday as double episodes) on the streaming platform Joyn.

Quiz Poker: How to Play

“The Duel for Money” combines quiz and poker. “At the gaming table, people talk, strategize and play poker for the right answers to quiz questions,” according to the description. After each question, Winterscheidt, Heufer-Umlauf and the guests, under the direction of Oliver Kalkofe, take a guess at the presumably correct answer. The well-known faces from film, TV and music were offered a jackpot of 6,000 euros.
