Mobile video editing is certainly one of the great strengths of Google Photosbecause it makes it possible to adjust them without enormous computing power or great expertise. Now video editing should be even easier, because a new structure and preset values should keep the most important optimizations and changes just a few steps away.

Google Photos: Update for mobile video editing – new, optimized interface is being rolled out (videos)

Video editing has become an important topic in Google Photos on Android and iOS and has been expanded over the last few years. With rapid expansion, it is inevitable that the interfaces and their structures fill up and may no longer be optimal. This was also the case with Google Photos in the fall and is now bringing a new interface for this important area.

It starts with the “Video” homepage, which you can access simply by tapping the edit symbol under a video. This is where the most frequently used editing options are located: removing the audio track, automatic image enhancement, changing the video speed, stabilizing the video image and, last but not least, exporting a single image from a video.

It continues with the other tabs, which contain a series of preset functions under “Presets”, as well as the remaining tabs with all the functions for the main categories of video editing and the other tools.

In the cave Preferences There are preset editing options for a video. This includes an automatic cut based on artificial intelligence to shorten the video to the main component. The next tool adds a slow motion effect to the video, where not only the playback speed is adjusted, but also the individual frames are optimized by an AI. The last point is a zoom on the main video area.

This new arrangement simplifies the structure of video editing so that even more users can quickly find their way around and use effects or optimizations without having to spend a long time tinkering around themselves. I think that this is also intended to pave the way for even more editing options, although today there is no getting around AI, which could perhaps also access such tools and apply them automatically.

The update is being rolled out to all Android and iOS users these days.
