The start of the 20th season of “Farmer Seeks Wife” couldn’t have been more dramatic. While the farmers and their chosen ones are looking forward to the famous barn party, an emergency medical call causes a stir. As RTL reports, riding instructor and horse owner Heiner had to be taken to hospital.

Petra (64, pensioner), Heike (58, hotel manager) and Ulrike (63, educator) were waiting anxiously for 70-year-old Heiner. But shortly before the start of the barn festival, his condition worsened.

“Heiner then went to the hospital. I’m really excited to see if he comes back and we can finally meet him.”reported Ulrike. Heike also expressed her disappointment and hope: “It was obviously a shock and a disappointment today. I hope we can have a great conversation with him today.”

Inka Bause explains

Moderator Inka Bause also expressed concern and explained the situation: “Heiner is one of our older farmers in this season. Of course I was worried. I’m sure he was just incredibly excited in the days before the barn party. His pulse gets faster and faster and some farmers arrive here already a little exhausted. Once they get there, they also meet lots of cameras, a big team, the women and me too.

They added: “I had to rush into the ambulance again to hold Heiner’s hand. He was then taken to the hospital and examined to rule out anything more serious.”

The question remains whether Heiner will be able to return to the barn party after the examinations in the hospital and finally meet his wives. Experienced fans of the show will be able to watch it from Monday, September 30, 2024, from 8:15 p.m. on TV or in advance on RTL+.
