UFC PTA wins exciting duel against Neukirchen/V.-Puchkirchen with 3:2 – Football Upper Austria – Results, tables and scorers from all OÖ leagues.

An exciting game between the UFC 222 and Union Neukirchen/V.-Puchkirchen took place in the 6th round of the 1st class Central-West. The party offered the spectators numerous highlights and ended with a close 3-2 victory for the hosts from Peterskirchen/Tumeltsham/Andrichsfurt. The UFC PTA showed a particularly strong performance Florian Penningerwho made the difference with three goals.

Lightning start with two goals after the first quarter of an hour

From the beginning, the UFC PTA picked up the pace and put the guests from Neukirchen/V.-Puchkirchen under pressure. The home team had their first good opportunity in the second minute when Takacs put a free kick just wide of the goal. Just two minutes later, Penninger shot from a promising position, but the ball missed the target.

The efforts of the UFC PTA were rewarded in the 10th minute. Florian Penninger plucked up his courage and shot from 20 meters away. The goalkeeper of Neukirchen/V.-Puchkirchen stretched in vain and the ball landed in the net to give the home team a 1-0 lead. But the guests did not let themselves be tempted for long. With their first shot on goal, they managed to equalize in the 15th minute. Patrik Manuel Holzapfel took advantage of a lack of attention in the defense of Peterskirchen/Tumeltsham/Andrichsfurt and confidently shot the ball into the goal to make it 1-1.

The UFC PTA remained the dominant team and had further good chances. In the 38th minute, a serious defensive error by the guests led to the hosts taking the lead again. Once again, it was Florian Penninger who reacted quickly and shot the ball through the legs of the opposing goalkeeper into the net. With this goal, the UFC PTA took a 2-1 lead. Shortly before half-time, Penninger was unlucky again when his free kick hit the crossbar. Despite further chances for the UFC PTA, the score remained 2-1 at half-time, a result that could have been higher.

Exciting second half

After half-time, the guests came into the game better and had a good opportunity in the 48th minute when a free kick hit the crossbar. But the decisive goals were only to be scored in the following minutes. In the 53rd minute, Dominik Schachner equalized again for Union Neukirchen/V.-Puchkirchen. After a scramble in the penalty area, he was able to push the ball over the line. The UFC’s response was not long in coming. Just a minute later, Florian Penninger restored the old lead. He coolly finished off a quick attack to make it 3-2, completing his hat trick.

The party remained exciting in the final phase. In the 67th minute, the UFC PTA fans were already cheering about what appeared to be a 4:2, but Takacs’ shot bounced off the crossbar and onto the line and the referee allowed play to continue. In the 75th minute, things got tense again when a player from the home team ran alone towards the Neukirchen/V.-Puchkirchen goalkeeper and was brought down. The referee, however, allowed play to continue, much to the displeasure of the home fans. The party finally ended with a well-deserved 3:2 victory for the UFC PTA, which thus earned three important points in the 1st class Central-West.
