Akron police arrest two teens in shooting at Spring Hill Apartments

AKRON, Ohio — Two teenagers are in custody as part of the investigation into a shooting that occurred at the Spring Hill apartment complex earlier this month in which a woman was grazed by a bullet.

According to police, the 18-year-old suspect is accused of aggravated assault, scaremongering and carrying a concealed weapon. The 16-year-old was charged with aggravated assault on September 11.

The shooting occurred on September 5 shortly after 4:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Everton Drive.

According to police, two groups of people opened fire on each other in the parking lot of the complex. One bullet grazed an 18-year-old woman on the arm, and other bullets hit several cars.

According to authorities, two other people have been identified in connection with the shooting and investigators are now searching for them.
